Thursday, December 18, 2014 - INTEGRIS Receives 2014 Press Ganey Leader in Transparency Award

OKLAHOMA CITY – INTEGRIS Health is proud to announce it has been named a 2014 Press Ganey Leader in Transparency Award winner for its efforts to offer patient access to physician performance data.

INTEGRIS is one of five recipients of the national award, which honors innovative health care organizations that have implemented solutions to capture the voice of every patient and have published individual physician’s patient experience scores and comments online.

In May of this year, INTEGRIS became the third health care system in the country to publish uncensored patient ratings and comments about their physicians. The ratings data comes from independently administered patient experience surveys, which adhere to nationally established standards and are administered by impartial third parties like Press Ganey.

“The transparency movement is advancing the patient experience by providing public access to performance data to both improve engagement and increase accountability among physicians and employees. The organizations honored with the Leaders in Transparency Award are at the forefront of this movement,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO, Press Ganey. “I am pleased to honor INTEGRIS for their leadership and vision. Through their efforts, they are paving the way to dramatically improve the health care delivery system.”

To date, the star ratings and patient comments of 80 primary care physicians and 12 specialty physicians can be found at The goal is to keep adding to that number.

“As consumers embrace a forum for grading health systems and doctors, transparency not only shapes their perceptions, it also changes the way that clinicians look at themselves and work together,” explained Bruce Lawrence, president and CEO of INTEGRIS. “By embracing transparency, physicians are committed to utilizing the data to improve the overall customer experience and to enhance the quality of care they are providing.”

The award is presented annually at Press Ganey’s National Client Conference.
