General, Bariatric (Weight Loss Surgery) and Cosmetic Surgery
Dr. Miller is one of less than ten surgeons in the nation trained to
perform both bariatric surgery and the reconstructive cosmetic surgeries
required to complete the total transformation process. He is passionate
about providing life changing results for his many happy patients. His
excitement for his art and the attention to detail Dr. Miller has for
patient care consistently draws exceptional ratings from his patients
and coworkers alike.
Dr. Nathan Miller is a Minnesota native, but raised in Oklahoma. Growing up in Tulsa, Dr. Miller was a multiple-time state track and cross country champion, as well as valedictorian of his Jenks High School graduating class. He received his undergraduate degree from Southwest Missouri State University, eventually being honored with the award of Most Outstanding Student Athlete in The Missouri Valley Conference. After a year off from school while attempting to qualify for the US Olympic Trials, he attained his medical degree at The University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He then went on to complete his general surgery residency at the Texas A & M Medical System – Scott & White Memorial Hospital, where he also served as the Chief Resident of general surgery. Dr. Miller also performed an additional year of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Surgical training as a fellow with the most recent president of The American Academy Of Cosmetic Surgeons. Following, Dr. Miller performed an additional 16 month fellowship in both Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Hermann Houston Memorial Hospital, through the University of Texas. He also received training and is certified in Robotic Surgery through the DaVinci Training Center in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Miller is a board-certified general surgeon and has affiliations with the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, SAGES, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has presented research as well as surgical procedures at both the annual Sages meeting, as well as the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatrc Surgeons.
Dr. Miller derives a great sense of purpose and enjoyment from participating in medical missions to developing countries, such as Kenya, Rwanda, Mexico, and Nepal. When not operating, you will find Dr. Miller deer hunting , cheering on his OU Sooners, or traveling. As someone who is personable and friendly, his patients often rave about how great his bedside manner is. His down-to-earth and approachable attitude allows him to connect immediately with his patients and provides them with a sense of trust and comfort they deserve from their surgeon.
