Residency Program

Family Practice Residency Program

The INTEGRIS Northwest Family Medicine residency program began in July 2009. The residency program at INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Health Center is a community partnership with health care facilities centrally located in Enid, Okla. This three year program is uniquely designed to train resident physicians to provide quality patient care in the context of rural family and community health care. Residents are trained to advance their skills in both the hospital and ambulatory care settings.

The INTEGRIS Northwest Family Medicine residency program features a formal curriculum that emphasizes development of the osteopathic family medicine physician. Ambulatory care and comprehensive family medical services are at the core of our training. Residents are exposed to in-patient care through our in-house teaching service at our host hospital, INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Health Center. Additionally, residents receive a substantial portion of their patient care training at the INTEGRIS Northwest Family Medicine Clinic learning ambulatory care by interacting with patients, their families and clinic staff.

Each resident is afforded an opportunity, through electives, to extend his or her knowledge and skills to all areas of primary care. The residency program offers a well-rounded, quality training program in family medicine designed to prepare each trainee for a successful career in family medicine.
