Red Wine and Chocolate

Have you heard that red wine and chocolate are good for you? Can that be right? It seems like a number of once questionable foods keep cropping up on “not-as-bad-as-we-thought” lists. Join Karen Massey, RD, LD, for a bit of insight into how and why food recommendations tend to favor keeping all things in moderation. It often takes time to separate “trendy” from “true.”

The discussion begins at 10 a.m. at INTEGRIS Third Age Life Center, 5100 N. Brookline, Suite 100. Call 405-951-2277 to enroll.

Reservations are required for all events unless otherwise noted. All events are held in Oklahoma City unless otherwise noted. For more information on any of the events or to make reservations, please visit us online at integrisok.com or call the INTEGRIS HealthLine at 405-951-2277 or 888-951-2277.

Friday, Feb. 6 Wear Red to Fight Heart Disease on National Wear Red Day

Women are strong. We are smart. We solve problems. Women can do anything men can do. And, there are some things we’re even better at – like dying of heart disease and stroke.

It’s not just a man’s disease. Each year, one in three women die of heart disease or stroke. But we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.

INTEGRIS is a proud sponsor of National Wear Red Day®
