Complimentary Hearing Screenings Offered by INTEGRIS Health
Hearing loss is one of the most common disabilities among senior citizens. Thirty five percent of those age 65 and older, and 50 percent of those age 75 and older, have significant hearing loss. Aging adults, who have lost all or some of their hearing, can often benefit from innovative hearing devices or cochlear implants.
In recognition of National Speech and Hearing Month, the INTEGRIS Cochlear Implant Clinic will offer complimentary hearing screenings on May 1 for individuals who have not yet been diagnosed with a hearing loss. If you currently wear a hearing aid or have been diagnosed with a hearing loss, a screening will not be sufficient.
The doctors of audiology at the INTEGRIS Cochlear Implant Clinic can help determine if you have a hearing loss and what treatment options they can offer you. The screenings are available by appointment only on Thursday, May 1, at 3434 NW 56 Street, Suite 101.
For more information or to schedule an appointment for a complimentary hearing screening, please call the INTEGRIS HealthLine at 405-951-2277.
Reservations are required for all events unless otherwise noted. All events are held in Oklahoma City unless otherwise noted. For more information on any of the events or to make reservations, please visit us online at integrisok.com or call the INTEGRIS HealthLine at 405-951-2277 or 888-951-2277.

Most people know that body weight is a matter of calories in and calories out. The “calories in” part seems easier to track. After all, the calorie content of most foods is printed right on the package, plus there is a multitude of websites and apps that help calorie counters. But the “calories out” part can be tricky. What is considered “moderate” activity? How many more calories do I burn doing “vigorous” activity? Can I trust the “calories burned” calculation on exercise equipment like a treadmill, elliptical or stationary bicycle? How would this compare to the calories I burn doing ordinary chores, such as mowing the lawn or cleaning house?
Join Karen Massey, RD, LD, for a “calories out” discussion, 10 a.m. at the INTEGRIS Third Age Life Center, 5100 N. Brookline Ave., Suite 100.
