INTEGRIS TeleStroke Network Serving the Oklahoma Region
When experiencing stroke symptoms it is important to be treated quickly. Unfortunately, not all hospitals have the necessary personnel, equipment and organization required to treat these patients rapidly and effectively. The INTEGRIS TeleStroke Network uses two-way interactive video conferencing plus teleradiology to assist regional hospitals when a stroke patient arrives. The regional facilities interact live with a stroke neurologist in Oklahoma City and the decision can be made urgently whether to administer the t-PA clot-busting medication. The Network is now live at INTEGRIS Bass in Enid, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley in Yukon, Blackwell Regional Hospital, Marshall County Hospital, Duncan Regional Hospital, and Clinton Regional Hospital.
