Our Mission

Hospice of Oklahoma County enhances the quality and dignity of life for terminally ill persons and their families.

We at Hospice of Oklahoma County understand that a terminal illness affects not only the patient, but also everyone around that patient, whether they are immediate family members, relatives, friends or hired caregivers. Dealing with the care of the patient and facing the future can be overwhelming at times. The hospice staff recognizes the stress you are experiencing, and we are available to support you as you face these difficult days.

We cannot take away the pain of losing someone you love. We will walk this path with you, not only now, but also after the death. From the moment your loved one becomes a hospice patient, we will be available to help in any manner we can.

Your hospice care will be tailored to meet your needs and those of the patient. We may try several different approaches of care before we find what works best. One of the most important elements is open communication. If you like the way things are going, tell us.
If you are not satisfied, let us know so we can try something different. We are flexible in our approach, and we ask that you be flexible also.

If you have suggestions on how we can improve our services regarding patient care or safety, please first contact a manager at Hospice of Oklahoma County by calling (405) 848-8884. If your concerns are not resolved to your satisfaction, then call the Oklahoma State Department of Health hotline at (405) 271-6576, or 1-800-234-7258 or call, The Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring at 1-800-994-6610 or you may e-mail your complaint.

There will not be any repercussions to the patient or family for complaining.
