The Department of Surgical Services is actually five departments under one roof:

The four-suite Surgical Services Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and scopes for general surgical and orthopedic surgical procedures. Three operating suites and one dedicated C-section suite are spacious, and designed with efficiency and safety in mind while utilizing the newest high-tech equipment.
Individualized care for each surgical patient is provided by a team of experienced professionals, which includes the surgeon, anesthesiologist, registered nurse, and surgical technologist. After surgery, the patient will recover in our six-bed post anesthesia care unit.
The 12-bed Outpatient Day Surgery unit covers a wide variety of procedures. Patients begin their surgical experience in this area. Outpatient surgical patients are able to leave within a few hours after the procedure, so that they are able to rest in their own homes the same day.
Patient documentation by nursing staff and physicians is done through intra-operative measures, which means a totally paperless environment for the unit.
