The unique problems associated with aging can be complex and confusing. INTEGRIS Generations can help by providing behavioral health services to seniors 55 and older. Improving behavioral health can dramatically improve the quality of life for the patient as well as for the patient’s family.
Offering a wide scope of services, INTEGRIS Generations is known for its expertise and compassionate approach to mental health care. INTEGRIS Generations is an inpatient facility that offers 24-hour care provided by carefully selected and highly competent staff members.

Warning Signs of Mental Distress (these are not normal signs of aging)
- Changes in mental status
- Mood instability
- Memory loss or behavior disturbances
- A persistent sad, anxious or empty mood
- Loss of interest or pleasure in ordinary activities
- Weight fluctuations, loss of appetite
- Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- Feelings of hopelessness, guilt or worthlessness
- Thoughts of death or suicide
- Irritability and or agitation
- Excessive crying
- Recurring aches and pains that don’t respond to treatment
- Increased social withdrawal
- Sleep disturbance
- Loss of interest in appearance, or poor hygiene
- Non-compliance with prescribed medications
- Substance abuse
- Anxiety or panic attack
Watch for sudden changes in behavior that include any of the above symptoms.
How to Get Help
Contact INTEGRIS Generations if you or a loved is experiencing warning signs of mental distress. Anyone can make a referral. Most referrals are made by physicians, mental health professionals, care centers, service agencies, friends or family members.
Help with Evaluating Your Need
The free confidential assessment provided by professionals from INTEGRIS Generations can be done in a person’s home or health care facility. Assessments are offered 24/7.
Discharge from the Hospital
The staff psychiatrist and our primary physician will communicate regarding your treatment upon discharge. This communication will enhance continuity of care and medication management. Referrals are made for community services as needed.
Medicare Part A and B, and most insurance companies, will cover hospital and physician charges. Standard deductibles may apply. INTEGRIS Generations also accepts Medicaid funding.
Free wheelchair accessible transportation is provided.
Families are a very important member of the care team. We encourage family members to take an active role in the treatment process.

The unit is designed for safety and peace of mind. Generations is in compliance with all governing regulations and is Joint Commission certified.
For some patients, an outpatient program may be a more appropriate level of care. INTEGRIS Generations Outpatient at Miami offers an intermediate level of care for patients who don’t require an inpatient stay at INTEGRIS Generations. Our staff can help evaluate the most appropriate treatment model for you or your loved one.
