Joykumar Patel, M.D., joined the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute in 2010 as an Internal Medicine Physician. Dr. Patel completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Mount Sinai School of medicine in New Jersey and his hepatology fellowship in Orlando, Fla., at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Patel has experience in treating various kinds of viral hepatitis, both B and C. In addition, he has experience in the management of patients who have acute liver failure and fulminant hepatic failure. Dr. Patel also has experience in immunosuppressant in post liver transplant patients and managing acute cellular reactions.
