Meet Our Staff

INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute has a highly skilled team of professionals, with 32 physicians on staff. In addition to its team of transplant surgeons and physicians, a cadre of experienced physician specialists provide the complete array of support services for transplantation. NZTI has a dedicated transplant intensive care unit (ICU) with highly-skilled, full-time critical care specialists and nurses.

Almost all of INTEGRIS Baptist's departments are involved in the patients care including: Anesthesia, Cardiology, Dialysis, Food and Nutrition, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Imaging, Neurology, Nursing, Pastoral Care, Pathology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Social Services and Surgery.

Post-operative care is enhanced by a dedicated, experienced and caring nursing staff. The nursing staff's extensive skills in transplantation include strategies for prevention of rejection and infection, monitoring laboratory data, operating sophisticated monitoring equipment and providing caring and professional support.

The backbone of the teams are the transplant specialists and transplant coordinators. These specially trained registered nurses facilitate communications among staff members and family members, often becoming to patients like part of their families. And as family liaisons, transplant coordinators also access support services as needed.
