Educating Parents on the Prevention of Bullying Sponsored by the INTEGRIS Hispanic Initiative
OKLAHOMA CITY – Bullying can be a common experience for many children and adolescents. Surveys indicate as many as half of all children are bullied at some time during their school years, and at least 10 percent are bullied on a regular basis.
Join Deputy Belen Rodriguez, public relations coordinator for Hispanic affairs, to learn more about the growing epidemic of bullying. Rodriguez will provide parents with up-to-date information on the importance of talking to your children about bullying, warning signs of bullying, how to identify victims and bullies as well as resources to help others stop bullying around them.
The presentation, sponsored by the INTEGRIS Hispanic initiative, will be conducted in Spanish and held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the Medical Office Building at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center, 4200 S. Douglas Ave, Suite B-10, Oklahoma City, OK 73109.
