The only one of its kind in Oklahoma, the center features a concentration of adult and pediatric specialists in neurology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation nursing, psychology, nutrition management, respiratory therapy, speech therapy and medical equipment engineering. These professionals provide diagnostic and follow-up care for a variety of neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophy and motor neuron diseases like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease). The stroke program encompasses all levels of care from community education to designated "stroke teams" in the Emergency department, intensive care unit, and acute stroke unit. A designated medical director and full-time nurse coordinator lead the stroke team, with a multi-disciplinary revolving team of experts available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to emergency needs of stroke patients. Recognized as a national leader in sleep research, the INTEGRIS Sleep Disorders Center of Oklahoma at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center was the first sleep center in Oklahoma City to be fully accredited by the American Sleep Disorders Association and staffed with board-certified sleep physicians and board-registered sleep technologists. The Special Additions Center at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center features the latest in comprehensive inpatient obstetrical and gynecological services in a beautiful homelike setting. The unit has seven labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) suites, 13 postpartum rooms and a 22-bed nursery. In addition, three Level II neonatal special care beds, two Cesarean section suites and a maternal fetal testing center are also located in this unit. Special Additions is also dedicated to offering obstetrical support services including a home care program, prenatal education classes and a First Steps program.

Volunteers provide a vital service in the hospital for its patients. Auxiliary members also serve as outstanding representatives in our community, reflecting the mission of the hospital and INTEGRIS Health. Membership in the Volunteer Auxiliary is open to all interested persons who wish to donate their time helping to care for others.
