It was during a medical school elective in sub-specialty pediatrics that she first realized that she could combine her fascination with the inner workings of the nervous system and her love of pediatric medicine. She went on to complete her pediatrics training at OU Medical Center Children’s Hospital before moving to Houston to complete her sub-specialty training with Baylor College of Medicine, at the prestigious Texas Children’s Hospital.

My focus is always on the patient; that child is my primary focus. The absolute most important part is keeping my patient at the enter of the care. Then I teach the family what they need to know about that child’s diagnosis."
