James E. Harrington, D.O., received a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed a traditional internship at Riverside Hospital in Wichita, Kan. He completed an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center.
For many years, Harrington maintained a private orthopedic practice in Liberal, Kan. He has served as an instructor at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon. He also served as a volunteer physician educator at the University of Kansas Medical School.
Dr. Harrington is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, Mid Central States Orthopedic Society, American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, Cimarron Medical Society, Kansas Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
