Dr. Chaffin fulfilled a research and clinical fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery in Boston, Mass. and served as a visiting professor of surgery in Istanbul, Turkey. His areas of interests are heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist device and endovascular aneurysm repair.
