INTEGRIS Health Partners newsletter for February 2019.
Happy New Year to you all!
2018 saw a lot of significant changes across INTEGRIS. We welcomed new leadership and we said goodbye to some familiar faces. As the psychologist Abraham Maslow stated, “In any given moment, we have two options, to step forward into growth or step back into safety.” I think it’s fair to say that INTEGRIS is making the commitment to step forward into growth. With that being said, IHP will continue to be a catalyst for growth to tackle the ever-changing landscape of healthcare.
Despite all the uneasiness of the past year, INTEGRIS Health Partners saw some significant successes in 2018. This past year may turn out to be our best performance yet. The three health plans our network participates are showing exceptional quality metric scores showcasing the foundation we’ve long-established for delivering high-quality care. All of our participating health plans have achieved impressive scorecards in both quality and operations. The INTEGRIS Health Plan scorecard is enclosed in this newsletter. It’s worth reviewing. The scorecard for our other health plans mirror these results. More and more it looks like this quality work will translate into significant financial success. We won’t know the final outcome of shared savings until the summer, but all indications are suggesting we will have a strong operational performance.
With these positive results, I wanted to give a “shout out” to our care coordinators and population health coordinators. Our team is second-to-none. They deserve a huge thank you from all of us for providing the support and processes that makes these results possible. They have shown time and again that they are highly skilled and extremely dedicated to making the patient experience the best it can be.
New leadership for INTEGRIS will lead to new opportunities, new strategies, and new ways of looking at what we do. As the year goes on, I think our strategic vision will become more focused, and this will lead to a clearer pathway for continued success. I will always keep you up-to-date on what we are doing and what our plan is. I know many of you are anxious about the new executive leadership make up and changes in the INTEGRIS leadership structure. Our new CEO, Tim Pehrson, has expressed that physician leadership is vitally important to the success of INTEGRIS Health. He appreciates the time and effort you have devoted in delivering quality care to our patients. INTEGRIS Health Partners is committed to making sure that the physician’s voice is heard.
Thank you all for your hard work the past year. I also want to thank you on a personal level for all your prayers and support during the last year. I am feeling great and probably better than ever. Always remember if we keep our focus on the patient and put their needs at the center of everything we do, success will follow.
Sincerely,
Carl Raczkowski, M.D.
President, INTEGRIS Health Partners

Fall 2018, the Infection Prevention Care Transformation Team made recommendations to improve appropriate utilization of C. difficile testing based on a review of current evidence based guidelines. That recommendation was approved by the physician membership of the Clinical Leadership Transformation Council in December 2018.
Effective Jan. 17, 2019, a C. difficile order update will go into effect. The order set update will include the following.
Based on day of admission, there are two phases to the order set.
DLO will reject samples that do not meet Bristol Stool Chart 6 and 7 criteria for C. difficile testing.
The tip sheet for this update is attached, available here and the physician learning home dashboard in the What's New section. Questions? rebecca.lewis@integrisok.com
