Letter from the President

Dear colleagues:

I hope everyone is having a great summer by taking some time off and recharging their batteries. It won’t be long before school starts, and the end of the year rush will be upon us. A few months ago, I challenged you to get a physical, find a PCP and pay attention to your health. How are you doing on this challenge? Many of you have probably made more attempts at the bottle top challenge deal with your patented round house kick than taking care of yourselves. Don’t delay getting it done. A sick provider is no good to anyone.

Physician well-being continues to be a much-discussed topic. INTEGRIS has taken steps to help physicians to identify burnout through an online survey. Have you done it yet? (A full explanation is below, but here’s the link now:, invitation code IMG PWBI.) It is clear to me that it will be up to us to take care of ourselves and our colleagues. Budgets will tighten and the politics of healthcare will get more complicated. We can easily be taken for granted and expected to do one more shift, see one more patient and work one more Friday afternoon. We must be efficient and available for the good of our patients and to make a living. It is a delicate work-life balance in this age of extended hours, consumerism, telehealth and declining reimbursement. Take care of yourselves and your families as it helps us to be the best doctors we can be. Your PCP is waiting for that call to schedule an exam.

On a lighter note, IHP had a very impressive 2018. We hit all our quality metrics, and the initial financial calculations look promising. We hope to have final shared savings numbers soon. A special thanks goes to our impressive care coordination team. They do an incredible job and are top performers. They help IHP fill all the care gaps and help patients navigate a complicated medical system. Recently, the IHP Board gave them official recognition and commendation at a special luncheon in order to ensure the care coordination team feels appreciated and knows how much they are valued.

I think the future of IHP is bright. We will need to expand on what we have accomplished and bring our efficiency, quality and outcomes to a broader population. We can do this, and INTEGRIS is counting on us to lead this charge. Physicians must be the leaders and work with the entire care team in a coordinated effort to pull it off. We must ALWAYS remember that the patient is the primary reason we are here.

Be healthy, take care of yourselves and advocate for our patients.

Carl Raczkowski, M.D.
President, INTEGRIS Health Partners

Moving your practice? Changing tax identification number? Changing status?

Health plans are facing increased scrutiny for the accuracy of their provider directories. We continue to work closely with our partners at WebTPA, Aetna, and United to ensure that the provider directories are as accurate as possible and to eliminate errors. Those errors include: wrong address, wrong phone number, incorrect tax identification number, and incorrect identification of open or closed status. Physicians are affected by missed or delayed payments. Help us keep the INTEGRIS Health Partners provider directory up to date! Attached are demographic update forms for the plans IHP manages. Physician Wellbeing is vital for a patient’s success

INTEGRIS Health Partners invites you to participate in the Physician Well-Being Index. This validated tool is an opportunity to help you better understand your overall well-being and areas of risk compared to physicians across the nation, as well as provide access to local and national resources. The tool is 100% anonymous - your information and score is private and your individual score will not be shared with INTEGRIS Health Partners, INTEGRIS Health, or anyone else..

To best determine the INTEGRIS plans for wellness moving forward, your survey participation is much needed and appreciated. Thank you for participating in the well-being survey.

  • Track your well-being over time

The Physician Well-Being Index tracks your results over time. This allows you to correlate changes in well-being results to life and practice events. Based upon these results, the tool provides resources when they're needed the most.

  • Compare your scores to physicians nationally

The most accurate way to assess your well-being is to compare your results to physicians on a national level. This allows you to see in which areas you exceed and which areas you're at higher risk compared to your peers.

  • Access Free Resources

We strive to provide education and awareness through resources. After completing the Well-Being Index, you will have access to both national and local resources across multiple categories and topics.

You can easily download the Physician Well-Being app onto your phone. Search for “Well-Being Index” in the iTunes App Store or Google Play. When you allow app notifications you’ll get an alert when it’s time to retake your survey (monthly). It’s a short survey and should only take two minutes to complete. Many INTEGRIS physicians use the app today and share that it’s quite easy.
