Dear INTEGRIS Health Patients and Community Members, 

Timothy Pehrson, INTEGRIS Health President and CEOOne of the negative effects COVID-19 had on our state was patients and community members withholding or delaying care. While it is understandable to be concerned about contracting a new virus, withholding or delaying care, in many instances, can have far greater negative health consequences than contracting COVID-19.

To ensure you can safely seek care at INTEGRIS hospitals, clinics and emergency rooms, we have taken extra precautions so you can get the care you need. Some of those precautions include:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitation processes 
  • Created isolated units for COVID-19 only patients
  • Required COVID-19 screening tests for all planned surgeries, procedures or admissions 
  • Implemented temperature checks for anyone entering an INTEGRIS hospital or clinic
  • Developed universal masking requirements for patients and employees 
  • Designed curbside check-in for clinic visits
  • Mapped out social distancing requirements in waiting areas

Do not let fear of contracting COVID-19 keep you away from important non-COVID-19 care. Sadly, some have done just that, resulting in life ending or life altering consequences. The data show people are nearly five times more likely to die from heart disease and nearly two times more likely to die from stroke than from COVID-19.

Delaying or avoiding routine care like breast health, colon screenings or well-baby exams can also have negative consequences. Please schedule and maintain your check-ups and regular screenings.

Dear Patients and Community Members,

Timothy Pehrson, INTEGRIS Health President and CEOAt INTEGRIS Health, the safety and health of our patients, visitors and caregivers is our top priority.  Since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) our team of doctors, nurses and other clinicians have been actively monitoring the situation to prepare INTEGRIS to meet the needs of the community during its most difficult times.

We are partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Oklahoma State Health Department, and other health systems to proactively prepare for and respond to this growing health concern.  

Recently, we added screening precautions to help with early identification, isolation, and treatment of potential COVID-19 patients, which also improves protection for our caregivers and other patients. 

If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your INTEGRIS provider for medical advice. Upon scheduling an appointment, inform the clinic staff that you have or may have COVID-19. This will help us take steps to keep other people from getting infected or exposed.
