Avilla T. Williams, President, INTEGRIS Health Edmond

Avilla T. Williams has over 36 years of nursing/health and administrative health care experience, with over 30 of those years in behavioral health and addiction medicine. As an experienced leader, she provided oversight to the development, construction of the 40 acre INTEGRIS Health Edmond hospital campus. The $94 million hospital state-of-the art full service, community hospital project on October 3, 2011. In 2013, a $2.25 million cardiovascular and interventional radiology suite opened to serve cardiovascular patients and in 2015 a $12.5 million 45,000 medical office building was added to the campus. She is currently overseeing the design and development of Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery that will be built on the INTEGRIS Health Edmond campus.

Williams believes the success of any project is dependent upon establishing a team of people who communicate well and share the same visions and goals. Avilla’s long term goal for INTEGRIS Health Edmond is to “build a campus that meets the changing needs of our community.” Her motto for INTEGRIS Health Edmond is “where hospitality meets healthcare.”

Williams received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawaii, and earned a master’s degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK. The Oklahoma Hospital Association awarded her the Spirit of Transformation Award in 2011. In 2016, she was recognized as one of the “50 Women Making a Difference” in Oklahoma by the Journal Record.

Williams is very active in and serves on many health care, community and civic boards, such as the Governing Council of the American Hospital Section for Metropolitan Hospitals, the Oklahoma Hospital Association, the Edmond Economic Authority Board of Trustees, the Langston University Urban Campuses Board of Trustees and the Oklahoma Tomorrow board.
