Social Work Services

Social work services at the INTEGRIS Cancer Institute are provided at no cost to patients and their family members. We offer help with the following.

  • Completing an Advance Directive for Health Care (Living Will) or Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care
  • Navigating the Social Security Administration 
  • Sharing information provided by the Veterans Administration 
  • Directing to helpful programs through the Department of Human Services 
  • Obtaining secondary insurance for those with limited income and resources 
  • Applying for programs that assist with co-pays and co-insurance 
  • Referring to American Cancer Society programs like Look Good … Feel Better classes, free wigs and turbans and more 
  • Referring to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society programs such as a $100 stipend yearly for treatment related expenses and co-pay assistance up to $10,000 per year 
  • Referring for medication assistance 
  • Referring assistance for medical equipment 
  • Referring assistance for home health care or hospice 
  • Providing handicap parking permit applications for completion 
  • Referring for assistance with transportation to and from outpatient appointments 
  • Referring for home delivered meals 
  • Providing information about assisted living centers and long term care facilities in your area 
  • Providing information about community support groups available in your area
