INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute

Patient Resources

An organ transplant is a complex surgery and process for patients, donors, as well as, family and friends. The Kidney and Pancreas Transplant team at INTEGRIS Health would like to assist with resources that can be beneficial and educate our patients and those involved.

Transplant Education

National Kidney Foundation:

NKF provides curated patient education for kidney transplants and living donor information.

American Kidney Fund Grant Management System:

View this handout from AKF GMS for our new post-transplant patients.

American Association of Kidney Patients:

The American Association of Kidney Patient (AAKP) is a national non-profit organization founded by kidney patients for kidney patients. They strive to educate and improve the health and well-being of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, those on hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplant recipients.

Medicare:

This booklet can better explain the basics of Medicare, how Medicare helps pay for kidney dialysis and kidney transplants, and where to get help.

The resource below gives detail to the Coordination of Benefits (COB) between Medicare and Private Payors.

Fundraising:

There are many options when it comes to transplant fundraising. We have referenced some of the resources and foundations available.
