Eight INTEGRIS Nurses Named Nurse of the Year by the March of Dimes

Eight INTEGRIS nurses were named 2017 Nurse of the Year by the March of Dimes.

The coveted award is designed to recognize nurses who demonstrate exceptional patient care, compassion, and service and play a critical role in improving the health of Oklahoma’s residents.

Hundreds of nurses throughout the state were nominated by their patients, peers and administrators in 18 different categories. A special committee made up of distinguished nurses honored for their own achievement and leadership, reviewed blinded nominations to select the finalists.

The INTEGRIS winners, in their respective categories, are as follows.

  • Michelle Stilwell, INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center - EMERGENCY
  • Keli Myers-Belding, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital - INFECTION CONTROL & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
  • Christine McMurray, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital - NURSING MANAGEMENT
  • Linda Hollan, INTEGRIS Miami Hospital - OTHER NURSING SPECIALITIES
  • Tammy Hogue, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital - SURGICAL SERVICES
  • Kaci Brosh, INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital - WOMEN'S HEALTH

In addition to the March of Dimes awards, Lisa Rother, the System Administrative  Director of Clinical Education and Professional Developmentm at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center, will receive the prestigious Excellence in Nursing honor from the Oklahoma Nurses Association (ONA) later this week.

The accolade acknowledges the ONA member who has developed an innovative, unique and creative approach utilizing nursing theory, knowledge and skills. This person is admired by their peers as a role model of consistently high quality nursing practice and as someone who enhances the overall image of professional nursing.
