An addiction psychiatrist has been hired to lead the addiction medicine efforts at the INTEGRIS Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery, located on the INTEGRIS Health Edmond campus.

INTEGRIS Hires Addiction Psychiatrist for Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery

Kimberlee V. Wilson, D.O., M.S.An addiction psychiatrist has been hired to lead the addiction medicine efforts at the INTEGRIS Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery, located on the INTEGRIS Health Edmond campus.

Kimberlee V. Wilson, D.O., M.S., of Tulsa, has been chosen for this very important leadership position. She is currently an attending physician, addiction psychiatrist and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the OSU College of Health Sciences Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health.

She has been selected by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry to serve as a prescriber consultant to Oklahoma physicians, as part of a national effort with SAMSHA, to address the opioid epidemic in the State Targeted Response for treatment of substance use disorders. In addition she teaches a Treatment of Opioid Use Disorders course through the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Wilson is highly respected in the psychiatric community throughout Oklahoma. She has served as a telehealth attending physician for the geriatric psychiatry unit at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore and has been an addiction psychiatrist and assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the OU School of Community Medicine in Tulsa. There, she also served as medical director for IMPACT Health Home, an assertive community treatment program for 75 severely mentally ill patients in Tulsa County.

Wilson is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry, and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Addiction Medicine. She received fellowship and residency training at several institutions in Illinois and Arizona, as well as the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University. She has been involved in numerous research projects and publications and is known to be a distinguished presenter on a variety of topics.

The INTEGRIS Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery will follow the most modern, up-to-date clinical model available; one that treats a variety of disorders and co-occurring conditions such as addiction, mental illness and trauma. The center’s multidisciplinary staff will include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, dietitians, therapists and clergy. It will offer individualized treatment programs ranging from 60 to 90 days, which is more extensive than most current services available in the area. INTEGRIS Arcadia Trails is scheduled to open in the spring of 2019.
